For over ten years Taste and Company has been feeding the Laugh Factory’s free Thanksgiving dinner in Los Angeles. For its 40th year, with the surging COVID-19 pandemic, the event on Thursday, November 26, 2020 took place outside with Taste and Company Gourmet to Go meals served by the comedians. The Laugh Factory Thanksgiving provides food for the community from the homeless, to people who simply want some laughs and a hot meal.

The table décor boasted feast and fall with baby fruits, grapes, and nuts to make the table feel full and appetizing amongst the boxed meals. The menu included a Classic Thanksgiving Menu with Turkey & Gravy, Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Tossed Salad, warm Rolls and a perfectly fall dessert of Pumpkin & Apple Pies.

Comedians Tiffany Haddish, Dane Cook, and Tim Allen headlined the event on Thursday as they have done before. Other comedians at Thanksgiving in the past have included Arsenio Hall, Kevin Nealon, Tom Arnold, and Shawn Wayans.

Sanitizer, masks, and shields were worn and provided, as well as CDC protocols adhered to. It was quite a different experience than our usual event, with indoor shows and buffet style meals, but the Gourmet to Go Thanksgiving meals delighted the community and the Laugh Factory.

We hope next year post-COVID we’ll get to continue with the fun buffet meals we normally get to do!
